Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies launched the social project “Pochtap” on March 2, 2017 through Azerpost LLC.  Within the framework of the Project, Lost documents are being found and returned to their owners.

Lost documents found by citizens are being received by the relevant postal offices since the start of this service,  the owners searched, and if located, the documents being handed back to the owners, or to relevant authorities if not claimed.  Thus, any person may drop the document he/she has found into any mailbox or pass it over to the post office, with his/her anonymity protected. The document dropped into the mailbox is registered in the relevant program, the contact information of the document's owner is automatically searched; and if the person's contacts are located, he/she is contacted.

And the owner of the lost document may query the Pocthap service database via www.pochtap.az, 169 hotline or any post office to learn whether his/her document was found, and place an ad for it if not found, following which he/she obtains information on the current status of the document.
