Azerbaijan's advantageous geostrategic position, the establishment of regional and international transport corridors in our Republic as a result of the goal-directed policy implemented by the Head of State as well as the transformation of Baku into a major transport and logistics center have created new opportunities for our country in terms of international e-commerce products transportation and their delivery by mail. Using these favorable chances, a project was carried out to function as a regional transit postal center (HUB) for the implementation of inter-country e-commerce through the Azerbaijan's postal services: Azerpost LLC and Silk Way Airline, a company with a wide range of international air transportation capabilities, signed a cooperation agreement, and implementation of Project started from July 2016.
The Project provides for the delivery of e-commerce products ordered in the People's Republic of China and accepted from local courier companies operating in this country, the world's main cargo center, to Azerbaijan via the Silk Way Airline, and then their transportation and delivery to the CIS and other countries as mailings by Azerpost. Thus, in the course of the Project's implementation, the mailings цуку processed at the transit center and transmitted to 17 nations around the world (USA, Germany, Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Czech Republic, France, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Turkey, and Ukraine). Furthermore, the EMS mailings from USA and Germany were being received based on the agreement concluded between Azerpost EMS service and Estonia postal administration, and shipped to Russian Federation through Azerpost LLC.
