The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport successfully continues cooperation with international organizations. One of the measures taken to develop cooperation is increasing representation in international organizations.
Thus, as a result of the negotiations with the Universal Postal Union (UPU), Anar Majidov, the head of the international transportation department of "Azerpost" LLC, started working as a program manager for the European and CIS countries of the UPU from March 4. Anar Majidov will carry out the organization and evaluation of work related to the organization's technical cooperation programs and projects to be implemented in Europe and the CIS countries during his tenure in the said position.
Acceptance of the representative of Azerbaijan to an important position in such a prestigious international organization is a manifestation of the long-term and close cooperation of our country with UPU. The relations established on the basis of effective cooperation between UPU and Azerbaijan have an important impact on the development and modernization of postal services in the region and worldwide. The new appointment, in turn, will create additional opportunities for the further expansion of cooperation in the entire region, the increase of international experience in the country, the promotion of additional projects and programs, as well as the further development of the activities of UPI in Europe and the CIS countries.
This appointment is the next step in the efforts of the parties to strengthen cooperation in the postal sector. The new stage provides a solid basis for further strengthening of cooperation in the direction of future prospects and ensuring that postal services meet modern standards.
