The Regional Strategy Forum for Europe and Central Asia was held by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on 16-17 September in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkey.
Azerpost LLC was also represented at this forum and took part in the discussion of the activities of the regional post office.
The forum discussed issues related to the framework strategic program for 2026-2029. Thus, in the near future, the main topics of discussion were the creation and commissioning of a single postal network based on the norms and standards of the UPU, the introduction of innovations into the global postal ecosystem, and promoting the development of mail by strengthening cooperation.
Within the framework of the forum, bilateral meetings were held between the Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerpost LLC Isi Mustafayev, the Director General of the UPU Mr. Masahiko Metoki and the Head of the Postal and Telegraph Organization of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Hakan Gultan. During the meetings, negotiations were held on expanding cooperation between the postal services of the two countries, and the prospects for the development of the postal system were discussed.
