Speaking at the briefing, Isi Mustafayev, acting as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Azerpost" LLC, informed about the work done by the institution in 2023, as well as the financial results.
He noted that "Azerpost", which is transitioning to the renewal stage from 2021 and aims to develop in electronic commerce, has successfully tested and launched its 3 main projects for 2023.
Thus, "Postcargo", which has a customer base of more than 20,000 and delivers online product orders from Turkiye, serves citizens in 1113 branches today. It is currently delivering parcels from the USA in test mode, and the service is planned to be put into full use soon.
It was reported that "Azerpost" has put its first digital delivery Post Office in the central post office with index AZ1000 for use by its customers. Automated self – service mailboxes operate 24/7 without human intervention, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
It was added that the institution has also launched PUDO points, which are special service points intended only for the delivery of online orders. Currently, PUDOs operate from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in nearly 50 locations.
Speaking about the organization of postal work in the country, Isi Mustafayev noted that from 2020, regular reconstruction works are also being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation. So, in 2020, a post office was established in Hadrut, and later in Cojug Marjanli. In 2022, postal services were provided in Agalı village of Zangilan district. At the moment, works are being continued in the direction of establishing the Khankendi Post Branch, defining administrative buildings for the organization of postal services in the cities of Shusha, Lachin, Khojavend and Askaran.
It was reported that the annual income of the institution for 2023 was 72.3 million manats. This is 10% more than the corresponding period of the previous year. Last year, net profit was 4.6 million manats, and EBITDA was 11.5 million manats. During that period, the company's expenses were 67.5 million manats. This is 10% more than the corresponding period of the previous year. The main part of the cost increase is accounted for by the salary expenses. Thus, a 17% increase in the minimum wage at the beginning of 2023 led to an increase in costs.
It was noted that the implementation of the operating bonus set as a target for 2023 for increasing the monthly income of "Azerpost" employees has started.
At the same time, it was noted that the main goal of "Azerpost" for 2024 will again be to increase the financial well-being of employees. A 15% increase in budget expenditures is planned in this direction.
Answering the questions of media representatives, the head of the institution pointed out that the transformation processes started by "Azerpocht" last year will be continued in the next year as well.
