"Azerpost" LLC held a briefing on the results of 2024.
Speaking at the briefing, Acting Chairman of the Board of “Azerpost” LLC Isi Mustafayev informed about the work done by the organization in 2024, as well as its financial results.
He noted that "Azerpost", which has been moving to the renewal phase since 2021 and aims to develop in the field of digital solutions, has successfully tested and put into operation 3 main projects stipulated for year 2024.
Thus, in 2024, the organization launched “AzPostMobile” application for individuals, Internet banking service for legal entities, and “mobile POS” service for small and medium-sized businesses. The listed digital solutions not only enable users to perform their work online quickly and conveniently, but also increase the quality of Service.
Speaking about the organization of postal work in the country, Isi Mustafayev noted that since 2020, reconstruction works are regularly carried out in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions. So, a post office was established in Hadrut, and then in Jojug Marjanli in 2020. Postal services were introduced in Agali village of Zangilan region in 2022. The Khankendi Postal Branch was established in 2023, and it was fully commissioned in 2024. Recently, Shushapost branch with AZ5800 index was put into operation within the State Services Center in Shusha.
Providing information on financial indicators I.Mustafayev said that the annual income of the organization for 2024 amounted to 73.5 million Manats. This is 2% more than the corresponding period of the previous year.
Last year, net profit was AZN 4.5 million and EBITDA was AZN 9.9 million. For the past 3 years, Society has been ending the year with net profit and ensuring financial sustainability.
The head of the organization noted that “Azerpost” also attaches special importance to international cooperation in 2024. Thus, "Azerpost" participated in a number of international and regional business meetings and forums, and was represented at international Philately exhibitions in order to exchange experience and develop. Azerpost, which recently initiated an event on Transport and advanced electronic information for the countries of Europe and the CIS region held by the world Postal Union in Baku, announced the next global Postal Sector “Leaders' Meeting” event to be held in Baku in May.
Answering the questions of media representatives, the head of the organization noted that the renewal processes launched by “Azerpost” over the past 3 years, as well as the improvement of new services created will continue in the future, and a new development strategy for 2026-2030 will be developed.
