The limited availability of banking and financial services in remote rural areas increases the importance of postal services. In such areas, post offices play an important role in providing people with access to financial services, payments and basic communications. Post offices usually provide people with postal and financial services in one place, such as money transfers, payment of utility bills and receipt of social benefits.
The only national postal operator of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerpost Limited Liability Company, currently has an extensive network of services throughout the country, providing traditional and non-traditional postal services and postal financial services to all segments of the population, as well as legal entities.
Currently, Azerpost provides services through 35 regional postal branches and more than 1,100 post offices.
