Azerbaijan took 3rd place in European postal competition

The Blue Whale stamp presented by Azerpost LLC, representing our country, took 3rd place in the Europe 2024 postage stamp competition.

The theme of the annual European postal competition this year was “Underwater Flora and Fauna”. The goal was to draw the world’s attention to underwater creatures that are endangered, as well as those suffering from global climate change and environmental crisis.

Azerpost, which has been participating in the competition for the third year, demonstrated its sensitivity to the global ecosystem by choosing the blue whale, one of the endangered underwater creatures. The artist also managed to show the delicate beauty of the blue whale in the new presentation.

The image on the stamp submitted by Azerbaijan to the competition belongs to the artist Orkhan Garayev.

The stamp was printed in the high-class printing house “bpost”, located in Belgium.
